25 Essential Music Videos 2025 (Part 2)

Last week I published the first part of my favorite music videos in 2025, let’s finish this list up with the final 15 videos. Let me know your favorites from 2025 in the comments!

The duo behind Paris Texas have caught my eye a while back, because they infuse their videos with a lot of story, turning them into action b-movies from the 90s. They feature some hilarious SFX and are sometimes quite confusing, but always to the benefit of the overall experience. In “They Left Me With A Gun” we get to listen to snippets of the album with the same name. The only criticism I have is that it isn’t 30min long.

Pozer – Habits

Another one by anonymous Director Lauzza, who’s rise to (not anymore just) underground fame I’ve covered in a video last year – watch it here. Lauzza and team excel at recreating nostalgic video game environments, meticulously tailored to fit the artist’s track in their music video collaborations. In Pozer’s Habits we dive into the ever so present cultural impact of GTA 5 with it’s unmistakable loading screens, weapons wheel and perspective changes. Unimaginable how much work these guys put into this, turning South London into a GTA experience.

Paula Hartmann – 7 Mädchen

Music videos are so special to me, because they can be so much more than just a quick visual for a track (and a lot of the times, even that is a lot of fun). But even nowadays, where people consider anything over 30s seconds long form content, there’s so much detailed and creative examination into how to push the limitations of music videos. Paula Hartmann published multiple enchanting and looping visualizers for her album that really resonate with her lyrics. If you don’t know German just go with the flow!

Gen – Comme la roue

Stanko Repac, the director behind this gem, has carved out his style over the last decade with countless music videos. An incredible display of force, showcasing a clear understanding of accessing the music’s emotional core and translating them into mesmerizing visuals. I also did a short video on Repac, watch it here.

Lexa Gates – Estranged

The main reason this video ended up on this list is how long I was desperately trying to figure out where the camera is. I am pretty sure that I know now, but have a go yourself! Usually, POV’s like this require a lot of technicalities during shooting and post production, so it’s fun to see the team behind committing to a practical solution.

Puma Blue – Croak Dream

I feel like, Croak Dream is a great reminder on why music videos occupy such a special space: They can tap into the emotional atmosphere of a song and create an incredibly fitting visual, elevating the overall experience, connecting to the music on an additional level. Gamification of this context is a great tool for obvious reasons, but Croak Dream captivated me on a deep level: it played with the tenseness of playing thrilling video games late at night as a teenager.

Young Eman – popstar in da bits

I am definitely guilty of a UK bias in my selection, but c’mon, there’s just too much good stuff happening, especially when it comes to up and coming artists. The roughness, sass and confidence behind this video is infectious and transports you back into last year of school, begging that you would be part of instead of being bullied by them.

emory – dirt

Julia Fernandez, the artist behind the tile stop motion animation, created an absolutely beautiful counter culture piece with her video for emory. In the year of 2025, where AI slop probably exploded most notably (at least from our perspective now, who knows where 2026 is getting us) she created something lasting, not only in the material sense. Although I wonder where all the tiles ended up? Honestly, the title card alone would’ve been enough for me to love this vid!

2charm – paris

Very few videos leave me drooling. Then there’s 2charm – paris. The lead melody paired with the electric build up to an hilarious climax seems to have some magical enchanting quality because I could not stop watching it.

Joji – Past Won’t Leave My Bed

Joji is back. One of Youtube’s most prolific personalities dipped out of the nether with a couple music videos for his new album, I guess? Joji is quite a fascinating and controversial character and that definitely transports to this video. Essentially a best of drifting around the USA compilation that makes you question your perception and judgement of reality. Because no way this all just happened? Or did it?

Mei Semones – Kurayami

Legend in the making – Mei Semones. Such a unique blend of genres and very rarely does music like this get the intricate attention it deserves when it comes to a music video. I loved the hard light, reminding me a lot of 2000s flash photography. Nowadays, everything is quite softly light and shadows are a thing of the past. So although mainly a performance video, still really refreshing and made me have a major crush on her and the band.

Ino Casablanca – Paraplui

Ino Casablanca was one of my favorite french artists from 2025 and he had to make the list. I think there’s going to be a lot of amazing stuff coming this year from his and all the talented people around him – maybe I am lucky and he does a small EU tour and comes to Berlin?

Jassin – Dein Herz

The only other German artist apart from Paula Hartmann: Jassin. Still relatively underground, Jassin is known for very personal, heartbreaking songs. The video for Dein Herz feels like going through an old hard drive and discovering all this presumed to be lost camcorder footage of you and your best friend/ crush or maybe both.

Water From Your Eyes – Life Signs

Usually I already know a band’s music videos before I see them live, but I had no idea that Life Signs had such a great video. I saw Water From Your Eyes towards the end of 2025 and after went back to see what they’ve done. Life Signs is a great display on how to do the whole genre homage trope right. The main thing is have fun and most importantly use the right equipment – the camcorder footage looks so good!

Brodie Sessions: Erika de Casier

I thought I’d end this list with a music video and artist that embodies nothing but warmth and emotional sensibility. Erika de Casier has been one of my biggest discoveries in 2025 and I was absolutely blown away by the way they designed and filmed this live performance. A great display on why tungsten light is unmatched – flooding this space with (fake) sunlight and then letting Erika de Casier do her magic. The whole session feels like a warm blanket.

That’s all, folks! Thanks for sticking around for my 25 favorite music videos of 2025, I can’t wait what 2026 has to offer. Rest assured, I am already taking notes and filling up a new list of favorites. All these videos are special to me, they transport me to some other place and will most likely always to so. I am thankful to all the artist and crews behind them, committing so much time and energy into a form of art that is often overlooked and underappreciated. Take this as a reminder to support the musicians and artists that you like directly and stop using services like Spotify.

Again, I would love to hear about your favorite videos – I talked to a person from Russia recently and she sent over a couple of her most beloved videos from her teenage years. I absolutely loved this exchange. Cheers!
